Welcome to the Y-Indian Guide Website

Note, we now have a section on the YMCA of Columbia's web site :

Please see that site for registration and cost information.

The Y-Indian Guides program is composed of the Indian Guides for kids Kindergarten-Grade 4 and the Trailblazers for kids Grade 4-up.

The Y-Indian Guides is a Father / Child program where fathers and their kids can have fun doing various activities. Fathers "guide" the development of their children through fun activities.

Groups of families meet approximately every month as a "Tribe" for game, craft, or outdoor activities. All the local tribes join together for various "Federation" events during the year.

Tribes are usually groups of 8-12 "braves" (boys) or "princesses" (girls) that live in one area. The father (or other adult) must be present at all activities.

This website serves groups in the Columbia, SC area for the Three Rivers Federation.
